Christmas Cupcake

Hi everyone,

Sharing with you today a layout I created using this sketch from Stuck?!Sketches challenge blog.

I have used this photo as inspiration from Scrapbook Boutique December challenge.

Here is my take on both challenges

We have 3 Christmas's this year - all the families can't be in one place at the same time, so we have spread it out over the month, I'm not entirely sure I like doing it this way or not (it is easier to manage smaller groups that 1 HUGE one, but it's so much more time consuming to have 3 weekends blocked out rather than 1) so this is a pic of my son about to enjoy he snowman cupcake, but not before mum gets a quick photo in first!

Christmas crafts

Hi everyone,

I have a couple of my latest project to share with you.  As we are only 6 weeks away from Christmas I thought I should get started on come decorations.  I have made quite a few so far, I will share them all over the next couple of weeks.

First up here is a paper wreath, I covered a Styrofoam ring (I cut form the lid of a box - nothing like a but of up-cycling), covered it in green paper, and punched out heaps of scallop circle shapes, I wanted it to have a crinkly effect so I sprayed them with water and scrunched them up, then hot glued them to the ring, added a few embellishments and it was done.

Here is a close up.

My next project is one that I have just completed this morning.  I bought a cut file kit from Myscrapchick to make this train.  A couple of reasons I wanted to make this, 1 as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to make it and 2 my son is obsessed with trains (and trucks) at the moment so I knew he would love it.

If you would love to have one of these in your house this Christmas, contact me today to place an order.

Thank for stopping by.

Up, Up & Away

Afternoon all,
Here is my entry for the challenge at Kraft it Up.
This month it was a sketch challenge, here is the sketch we were working with.

And here is my take on the sketch
Photos are of me and my son in the plane heading off on holiday.

I must say it doesn't look quite as good in the picture as it does in real life (there isn't much sunlight today to take a decent picture).

The journalling reads: 17.09.2013 - On our was to visit Grandad in New Zealand. Lots of smiles before we took off despite being woken up at 3am.

I distress the kraft card stock and sprayed with blue and red ink, and matted on some chevron paper, then used a circle stencil and Gesso on the background.
I layered some washi tape and more chevron paper on top of the Gesso'd part. I punched and cut circles out the green paper and distressed the inside edges, then added the photos and embellishments.

Now for the accident!

This is what happens when the glitter glue bottle blow's its top.
It ended up covering half the desk, my shirt, pants and part of the page - I'm not sure if it ruined my page or gave it a little extra something?

Thank for stopping by,

Morgyn

Smiles

Hi everyone,

This a special project I have made for my dad, it's a belated fathers day present.  The photo is myself my sister and my son, it was a massive effort to get a picture with the 3 of us looking at least half descent.  Unfortunately Sam is not looking at the camera, but has his cheeky grin on - so it was a winner.

I have entered this into this months challenge at White With 1 - Pistachio

Here is my take on the theme:

I have sprayed the background with a mister containing Stampin' up! wild Wasabi re-inker + water, and sprayed over Huey's mask - Hexagon.
I have used some green washi tape stips down the middle and added some matching paper from my stash.  The chipboard is "mistletoe" from Kaisercraft, covered in Gesso.
I added some Stampin' Up! buttons and Thickers letter stickers.

Thanks for stopping by, Happy Crafting.

Toes...

Hey everyone,

I have been super busy creating in the last week  - lots and lots of layouts! I have made a few of them to enter into different challenges, which is great inspiration as I have not created a layout in nearly 6 months :(

So here is the first one;

Show us your stuff: September Challenge
Use the colours RED and WHITE! and layout must include a handmade item.

This photo was perfect for this layout - and had been sitting in the "to scrap" pile for too long.
my handmade item is the Washi Tape flower.

Arnolds Scrapbooking Challenge.... Beach

Here is another layout for you all,

This one is entered into two challenges, the first one is a product pack challenge at my local scrap store, Arnold s Scrapbooking.  Each month they have a product kit that you can purchase in store ($7) and you need to create a layout using the goodies inside.  This is my first attempt at a challenge like this - it was harder than I thought, not being able to pick and chose what goes on the page.

I have chosen to use a sketch from Stuck?!: September Challenge;

Here is my interpretation:

These photos are special for a couple of reasons -
One it was my first trip to Stradbroke Island - an amazing place if you get a chance to visit, and two the photo's taken on this trip were the last ones taken of me before I fell pregnant and had my baby :)

Thanks for stopping by, Happy Crafting

Colouring Challenge

Hi everyone

I have a card to share with you all today,  I have created this card to enter into Challenge #1 at Make it colourful - part of Make it Crafty.

I have coloured the background and Marci images on blending paper, then cut her out and uses some adhesive foam to pop her out a little (you can't see that properly in the photo)

I have used Pumpkin Marci digi stamp from LaLa Land Crafts
and Eerie-scene digi from Make it Crafty

I have coloured my image with Copic markers:
Skin; E50, E51
Fence: E55, E57, E59
Hair, Hat and Sky: C3, C5, C7, 100
Grass: G07, YG11, YG13, YG17
Pumpkins/dress: YR02, YR07, YR09
Moon: Y11

Papers: Stampin' up! Basic Black Card Stock, Frightful Sight DSP and X-Press It Blending Paper

Designed 2 Delight

one super busy week this week.

I am heading back to work after 18 months off with my little man, so a full on week of training has meant not much room for crafting or blogging - or anything else for that matter.  But at the end of the week I will be a fully qualified Trainer and Assessor, so that is the up side of a super hectic week.

I have managed to get a couple of cards made late into the evening and I am here to share 1 of them with you now.

This is my entry into the monthly challenge at Designed 2 Delight - May Challenge
