Great news to share

Good afternoon,

I have not been on the blog in the last week, DH went back to work last week and as such I have been back to full mummy duties again.  It's amazing how much more crafting time I had while he was not working hehe.
I do have some exciting news to share with you all - I have been accepted as a design team member over at Feeling Sketchy.  This is my first design team position and I am super excited about being part of a great team and hopefully inspiring you all.

Autumn Wishes

Well it may be Autumn but it sure feels like summer (again) here in Brisbane it's 28c in the house with makes it around 29-30 outside - resisting the urge to put the air-conditioner on.

Anyway on to the card I created to share with you all today.

The stamp I have used is  Autumn Leaves from Sassy Cheryl Cheryl Stamps and coloured with Copic Markers. Card base and papers are from Stampin' Up! I sprayed and inked up a doilie underneath the image and added a flowers and some bling.

I have entered this card into the following challenges:

You Brighten Up My Day

Good afternoon crafters,

I am sharing an altered canvas with you today - the photo on the canvas is of my son Samuel (17months), and of course is does brighten up my day, and life!

I scrap alot of pages of my "baby" and they are all in his album, but I don't have any photos of him on display (to be honest I am not a real big fan of having photos everywhere - I know some people love them, but its just not my thing). With that being said I do have 2 wedding photos of me and Franc, so thought it is about time Sam got a spot on the shelf.

I have combined 2 challenges for this project:
-  Mojo Challenge from Scrappers Obsessionz - Altered Canvas Challenge
-  April Challenge from A2Z Scraplets - "you brighten up my day"

MUM - mothers day card

Good afternoon,

We are having some great weather today - beautiful, sunny and warm.  So I thought I would make the most of it and set up at the table outside to post on the blog today.

I have been playing along with the challenges at Scrapbook Boutique Blog the last few months, the challenge images always inspire me to create.

This month we had the theme "Love you mum" and this image to use for our inspiration to create a project.

I took my inspiration from the blue stripes on the top middle cupcake and the flowers on the bottom left. I hand made the 2 big flowers on this card, using a couple of different techniques (I will post some photos of how I did these later next week).

Here is my creation.  (I even took the photos outside in the lovely sun)

First Car Trip

Hi everyone,

I haven't done a layout in a while - First I took inspiration from Stuck Sketches, and the monthly challenges they have.  Then looked through some old photos that I want to scrap but have yet to find the time, and saw this photo of my little boy on the day we bought him home from hospital. Lastly I remembered the Art C - Collage Elements  (antique Transportation)  - now with all my ingredients collected I was ready to create! And here is the finished project.
