Stampin Up! Undefined

Hi everyone, here is a crafty share for you this evening.

I recently joined up as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, and have been having lots of fun creating with my starter kit, I will be sharing a few of my creations with you and hopefully inspiring you to get creative!!

First up I got the new undefined stamp carving kit. 




This was SO much fun. I had no idea what I wanted my first stamp to be so I asked my son - of course I kind of knew what the answer was going to be before I asked, but asked anyway "Dinosaurs" was his response. I have him a sheet of dinosaur pictures to choose just 1 that I would make into a stamp for him. He chose the Pterodactylus (I had to Google the spelling).
Here is the finished product:





I think he looks awesome, as does my 2 year old. He sat and stamped for ages with this one. So happy with how it turned out and how surprisingly easy it was, the hardest part was making that first cut. I stamped the image onto one of our new Project Life Grid Cards using Pacific Point ink pad, so I can add it to my album.  Why not order a kit for yourself and start creating some funky new one of a kind stamps that you won't see in the shops, you can find the Undefined carving kit here, it comes with everything you need to get started.





30 Days of Paleo days 8, 9 & 10

It has been crazy busy around here the last few days, so just sitting down to write a new blog post and realised I hadn't posted in 3 days ahh. So here is my catch up.

Day 8 Meal plan
Breakfast - Scrambled eggs with bacon, tomato and spinach
Lunch - Salad with left over roast chicken
Dinner - Chicken wonton soup - this was loaded with veges and super yummy.

Day 9 Meal plan

Breakfast - Poached eggs, avocado and salsa
Lunch - Salad with left over roast chicken  (again)
Dinner - Tacos, well I had the mince and veges without the shell.

Day 10 Meal plan

Breakfast - Left over taco mince wrapped in an egg omelet (crepe style)
Lunch - Salami and halloumi egg muffins
Dinner - Pizza

So the last 3 days haven't been the best I have had nasty cough since Sunday night. On Monday I felt like chicken soup all day, so at 4.30 (I know super early) my lovely husband offered to go pick up something for dinner - he suggested 3 takeaway places before we agreed on Malaysian, they make a awesome wonton noodle soup in chicken broth. I got it without the noodles, and even though the wonton wrappers are not so good for the diet I really didn't mind break the "rules" just this once.  Well that was until Wednesday night, I had all the good intentions of making a yummy beef and vegetable stir-fry for dinner, that was until 4.30pm and my darling son decided to throw a massive tantrum, thus in turn upsetting me and making his father angry. So when he was advised that I was not cooking rice or noodles with his stir-fry (but he could cook some himself) he poo-pooed the entire dinner and asked for something else, I caved, I wanted to be strong and say no, but the thought a nice hot piece of pizza was too good to resist. I had 2 pieces and regretted it, I suffered in silence for the rest of the night, knowing this was my own doing :(

The other massive hurdle I overcame this week was making 36 cupcakes and icing them to look like a princess dress for a friends-daughters birthday (see the photo below, i'm pretty happy with the outcome). Oh boy was it hard, my stomach kept saying "just 1 taste of the batter won't hurt" or "1 taste of icing won't kill you" or my favourite "you have to try it for quality control!".  I am super proud of myself for only caving and tasting a tiny finger of icing, (after the cakes were iced of course and only for quality control lol). I realised sugar gives me a headache and makes my teeth hurt and I don't need it! Yay a breakthrough :)

30 days of Paleo - days 6 & 7

Well it's been a week already, I have made it 7 days without any sugar (I did have some fruit as a dessert tonight). I am still having cravings for it but am sure I can keep pushing through until I don't "need" it anymore.

I am very proud of myself for not caving on so many occasions, where I could have easily fallen off the wagon. We even went out to a festival today and with so many delicious smelling food I could have eaten some of everything! but I chose to have chicken and vegetable skewers and half of Franc's salad (oh I am so proud of him for getting a salad with lunch instead of his usual chips/rice/pasta/bread).

I am even more excited to say that I have lost a grand total of 2.4kgs - so impressed with myself, and if I just added in some exercise I would be shedding kilos left, right and centre hehe.

Meal plan for day 6
Breakfast - Ham and asparagus omelet - 8/10
Lunch - Quiche & salad 8/10
Dinner - Grilled Steak with a warm vegetable salad. 9/10


Meal plan for day 7
Breakfast - Egg fried in coconut oil, grilled bacon and tomatoes (the boys had pancakes)
Lunch - Quiche & salad (I had chicken and vegetable skewers at the festival instead)
Dinner - Roast chicken and backed vegetables 10/10

30 Days of Paleo - days 4 & 5

Hi everyone,
So the plan is going well - having a few sugary cravings, trying to just work past them and think of all the benefits of life without sugar.

Meals for day 4

Breakfast
: Capsicum rings with friend eggs
Lunch: Left overs from last night - Since we didn't have the mince, I made a tuna salad.
Dinner: I made the savory mince we were supposed to have last night




Breakfast was super easy and extra yummy 8/10
Lunch was a bit boring but filled the spot until dinner
Dinner - It was so good  it even got a 9/10 from my husband, so I will be cooking that again. It's jam packed full of veges so an extra big win for me :)


Meals for day 5

Breakfast: Eggs fried in coconut oil with bacon (I little bit of maple syrup on my bacon - YUM!)
Lunch: Left overs from last night - think the mince was even better reheated
Dinner: Grilled lamb cutlets with salad

All meals were pretty tasty today.  I was having massive sugar cravings today, my poor son just couldn't do anything right :(
I showed extreme restraint when Franc came home from work - he wanted to take Sam out for a quick ice cream as he had been complaining of a sore throat, as he wasn't well he wanted me to come. I sat in the car all the way through the McDonalds drive-thru, and the watched them both eat their sundaes. Oh how I wanted one of my own, but I didn't and now I feel so much better knowing "I CAN do this!"

30 Days of Paleo - Day 3

Well today started really well, and ended in a bit of a fail, I am going to blame my darling husband.

Breakfast - poached eggs with tomato and avocado salsa

It tasted 100 times better than it looked lol.
Lunch - Left overs from Monday's dinner
Dinner - The plan was: Savory mince with sweet potato and broccoli
              What we actually had: Nando's chicken and chips


I was pretty good and just ordered the Chicken tenders made a salad at home and had a couple of chippies, so still feeling pretty happy with myself.

30 Days of Paleo - Day 2 + Project life Update

Well I am really craving sugar and sweets today, not giving in though - I know those feelings will ease soon (hopefully) I am drinking lots tea (preferably green) to help fill the gaps when I would normally be snacking.

Meal plan for day two

Day 2
Breakfast - 2 egg omelet, with tomato, mushroom and spinach
Lunch - Left overs from last night + salad
Dinner - Grilled fish (with lemon butter) and a salad

I forgot to get a photo of dinner but it was super simple today and yummy, a winner with everyone!!

Project Life Update!

We moved a couple of weeks ago, so with all the packing, moving and unpacking I haven't really had a chance to sit down and create anything in weeks (probably close to 6 eeek), here is an update of a few of my 2014 Project Life pages.

30 Days of Paleo - Day 1

he blog is taking a bit of a different turn today, this is non crafty post.

I am starting a 30 Paleo lifestyle today, in the aim of improving my health, well-being and hopefully loose a little weight along the way.  If you don't know about paleo it is also known as Primal, Caveman, and Stone Age diet draws its core principles from our hunter-gatherer, ancestral lifestyle and combines those with modern scientific research and a good dose of common sense. Well I am not one for being good at sticking to meal plans, diets etc. I tend to get a little bored when they are all written out for me and I don't get much choice, however with this one I WANT to make a change in my eating habits and lifestyle so have created it to what foods suit me and my family.  
It took me a couple of hours to scour the World Wide Web to find lots of yummy recipes and put them all together, so i'll share my hard work with you all. 

So why am I blogging about this you ask? Well to be honest I need the accountability -  if I know I have committed to blogging about it and there is the possibility that someone, somewhere is waiting for my next update (not likely but I'll pretend anyway hehe) I am more likely to stick to it and have it work for me.

I will post photos of the yummy meals, my (and my families) likes and dislikes and some recipes along the way.

Day 1
Breakfast - Boiled eggs with avocado (I hadn't been shopping & this was all that was in the house)
Lunch - tuna salad
Dinner - Sweet Potato and roast pepper crust less quiche + salad

I loved dinner, it was super yummy and the sweet potato curbed my sugary cravings, hubby gave it a 6/10 he likes his meals to have meat (lots of it) hehe.
